Professional Boundaries & Conduct Policy
Â
Lunara Somatic Wellness is a professional, therapeutic space grounded in safety, respect, consent, and clear communication. Every person who enters this space deserves to feel safe, respected, and free to communicate their needs and boundaries.
Â
All services offered at Lunara—including massage therapy, Reiki and energy work, sound therapy, and related offerings—are strictly professional and non-sexual in nature.
Â
Client Conduct
Â
Clients are expected to participate in maintaining a respectful and professional environment. This includes:
Â
-
Respecting physical, emotional, and energetic boundaries
-
Communicating openly about comfort, pressure, positioning, and touch
-
Following professional draping guidelines throughout the session
-
Refraining from sexual comments, jokes, gestures, requests, or advances
-
Refraining from inappropriate or unwanted touching of the practitioner
-
Not requesting sexual or otherwise inappropriate services
-
Respecting the practitioner's right to decline any request that falls outside their professional scope of practice
Â
Your level of undress is your choice within the boundaries of professional massage draping. You may choose to remain fully clothed or undress to your personal comfort level. Regardless of your choice, you will remain appropriately covered throughout the session.
Â
**Choosing to receive massage partially or fully undressed does not change the professional nature of the session or the boundaries of care.
Â
Consent & Professional Boundaries
Â
Consent is an ongoing part of every session.
Before beginning, we discuss the care you are seeking, areas you would like addressed, pressure preferences, relevant concerns, and any additional modalities or energy work you may wish to receive.
Â
You are encouraged to communicate throughout the entire experience. You may ask for more or less pressure, request a change in technique or positioning, ask to skip an area, or stop any part of the session at any time.
The same standard applies to your practitioner. Consent is mutual.
Â
**Only areas, techniques, and modalities that are appropriate, discussed, and consented to will be included in your session.
Â
Your practitioner may decline or modify any request that falls outside their scope of practice, professional boundaries, or comfort level.
Â
Zero-Tolerance Policy
Â
Sexualized behavior, unwanted touching, sexual comments or advances, harassment, threatening behavior, or other significant boundary violations will not be tolerated.
Â
If a boundary violation occurs, the session may be stopped immediately and without refund. The full scheduled service fee remains due.
Â
Depending on the nature and severity of the behavior, Lunara Somatic Wellness may also:
Â
-
Decline future appointments
-
Document the incident
-
Take additional steps to protect the safety of the practitioner and other clients
-
Contact appropriate authorities when necessary
Â
Right to Refuse or Discontinue Service
Â
Lunara Somatic Wellness reserves the right to refuse, end, or discontinue a session at any time if a client's behavior is unsafe, inappropriate, threatening, or outside the professional boundaries of the practice.
Â
You never have to continue a session that does not feel right to you—and neither does your practitioner.
These boundaries exist not to create distance, but to create the conditions for trust, safety, and meaningful care.
Â
A Shared Commitment to Care
Â
Lunara is intended to be a space where you can relax, communicate openly, and receive care without judgment or pressure.
Â
Clear boundaries allow that space to remain safe for everyone.
Consent creates trust.
Boundaries create safety.
Together, they make room for meaningful care.
