The Bodywork Lab
I can learn new things..
A place for curiosity, practice, and the beautifully imperfect process of learning something new.
Â
Bodywork is a practice I never want to stop learning.
There are always new techniques to explore, familiar skills to deepen, and different ways of working with the body that I want to experience with my own hands—not just read about or watch someone else perform.
Â
The Lunara Bodywork Lab is where I get to do exactly that.
Â
On select days, I open just three discounted 90-minute sessions for people who are comfortable being part of my learning process.
Â
What Are We Exploring?
Each Bodywork Lab has a specific focus based on what I'm currently studying, curious about, or wanting more hands-on experience with.
Â
That might include Thai massage, Ashiatsu, assisted stretching, cupping, hot stones, myofascial techniques, intraoral massage, positional work—or something entirely different that has caught my professional curiosity.
You'll always know what I'm exploring before you book, so you can decide whether that particular Lab sounds interesting to you.
Â
This Isn't Quite a Regular Massage
A Bodywork Lab session is intentionally different from a traditional Lunara massage.
Â
I'm learning—and sometimes learning is a little clumsy.
Â
I may pause to reference educational material. I might try something, adjust it, and try again. We may repeat a technique several times or experiment with different positioning. I'll probably ask for more feedback than I typically would during a session.
Â
Some things may work beautifully the first time.
Others may take a few tries.
That's part of the Lab.
Â
In exchange for your patience, curiosity, feedback, and willingness to be one of my practice humans, you receive the session at a significantly reduced rate.
Â
Your Body Is Never the Experiment
The techniques may be experimental for me.
Your consent is not.
Â
Participating in the Bodywork Lab never means giving blanket permission for me to practice anything I want on your body.
Â
Before we begin, we'll talk about what I'm working on and what the session may involve. You are always welcome to decline a technique, position, stretch, area of the body, or any other part of the experience.
Â
You can ask questions.
You can ask me to stop.
You can change your mind.
Â
And we can modify something until it works for your body—or leave it out entirely.
As always at Lunara, your body belongs to you.
Â
The Exchange
90 minutes · $90
Each Bodywork Lab Day includes only three one-on-one sessions.
Â
Lab Days are offered occasionally—generally once or twice a month—and each one may explore something completely different.
Â
These sessions are intentionally limited so I have time to learn, practice, integrate what I've discovered, and bring those skills back into my broader bodywork practice.
Â
Currently in the Lab (October 19th)
Table Thai Foundations
Compression · Rocking · Assisted Stretching · Movement
Â
For our first Bodywork Lab, I'll be exploring foundational Thai-inspired techniques adapted for the massage table.
Â
We'll work with rhythmic compression, gentle rocking, assisted movement and stretching, positioning, leverage, and ways of inviting movement into bodywork without forcing the body where it doesn't want to go.
Â
This is a learning session, so expect pauses, adjustments, repetition, questions, and probably a few moments where I need to figure out where exactly all of our limbs are supposed to go. ♡
Â
First Lab Day: October 19
Three 90-minute sessions available.
Come Be One of My Practice Humans. ♡
Â
If curiosity, collaborative bodywork, and being part of someone's learning process sounds like your kind of thing, I'd love to have you in the Lab.
